The 13-pin plug enables a standard electrical connection between a car or van and a trailer. The plug is part of the trailer’s electrical system and connects to the socket on the vehicle’s tow bar.
The 13-pin connection enables standard power supply to the lighting systems of light and heavy trailers, single- and twin-axle trailers, car transporters and caravans – all powered by a 12-volt vehicle electrical system.
If the number of pins does not match between the towing vehicle and the trailer, a special adapter must be used to convert from 7 to 13 pins.
The adaptors are manufactured in accordance with relevant standards and are protected against moisture ingress, which can cause corrosion and lead to short circuits. They are characterised by their robust construction and high-quality finish.
