FNIRSI WD-01 Wire Detector

Precise location of various materials

The FNIRSI WD-01 is equipped with a function for detecting many types of materials located behind walls and floors. The device accurately locates magnetic metals, such as steel or rebar, non-magnetic metals—including copper wires and pipes—wooden elements, and live electrical wires. It performs well when working with drywall, wood, plywood, wood-clad walls, or solid wood floors, detecting, among other things, wooden structural studs, light-gauge steel profiles, nails, and installations hidden within walls. When it comes to electrical wires, keep in mind that the device primarily detects live wires—non-live wires may not be detected, or their detection may be interfered with by the presence of metal objects.

Deep Scanning

The device offers two operating modes (Deep and Exact) that allow you to precisely adjust the scanning method to the task at hand. The maximum metal detection depth is up to 120 mm, while copper elements can be detected up to 100 mm, allowing the detector to easily cover typical drilling depths ranging from 30 to 60 mm and enabling work in more demanding applications. High precision is ensured by a modern HPC detection module with an interference-reduction circuit, which minimizes false alarms and improves the accuracy of locating detected objects. An additional convenience is the central positioning hole, which allows you to mark the drilling location precisely after locating the center of the detected object.

Clear Readouts and Intuitive Operation

The FNIRSI WD-01 is easy to use, even for those who have never used similar devices before. The backlit HD display shows information about the depth of the detected object, the type of material, and its position relative to the center of detection. A system of light indicators further simplifies the interpretation of results—a green light indicates no object detected, while yellow and red lights signal that the target is being approached. Upon detecting an object, the device emits an audible signal that becomes continuous once the exact center of the detected object is reached, facilitating precise drilling.

Robust Construction

The compact housing, measuring 138 × 68 × 22 mm, fits comfortably in the hand and facilitates work both indoors and outdoors. The sides feature a non-slip texture, and the impact-resistant ABS plastic housing enhances the device’s durability during everyday use. The front is made of an acrylic panel, and the silicone buttons ensure comfortable operation. You can quickly charge the built-in 300 mAh lithium battery via the USB-C port, ensuring the detector is always ready for your next installation, renovation, or construction project.
