Pro Signal PSG3427 – 1080p HDMI Extender/Splitter, 1×4, up to 120m

Pro Signal PSG3427 is a professional HDMI extender and splitter designed to distribute one HDMI source to up to four HDMI displays over standard network cabling. Based on HDbitT technology, the system can transmit Full HD video and audio over CAT5, CAT5e or CAT6 cabling, with a maximum transmission distance of up to 120m using CAT6.

The system consists of one HDMI transmitter and four receivers, allowing the same HDMI signal to be displayed simultaneously on multiple screens. It supports resolutions up to 1920 × 1080p at 60Hz and can also be integrated into an existing network using a suitable Ethernet switch or router.

How the HDMI Extender Works

The HDMI source, such as a PC, DVD player or other HDMI device, is connected to the HDMI input of the transmitter. The HDMI signal is converted using HDbitT technology and transmitted through RJ45 network connections to up to four receivers.

Each receiver provides an HDMI output for connection to a TV, monitor, projector or other HDMI display. The transmitter and receivers can be connected directly using CAT6 or better cabling, or integrated into a suitable existing network infrastructure through a network switch or router.

Transmission Distance

For reliable long-distance transmission, the manufacturer recommends using high-quality UTP/STP network cable with low signal loss and low crosstalk. Cable termination should follow the IEEE 568B standard.

Full HD Video and Audio

The Pro Signal PSG3427 supports video resolutions from standard-definition formats up to 1080p at 50/60Hz. Supported formats include 480i, 480p, 576i, 576p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p.

Audio is transmitted using PCM, while the HDMI interface supports HDCP 1.2. This makes the system suitable for professional AV distribution, digital signage, conference rooms, classrooms and monitoring applications.

IR Passback Remote Control

The integrated IR passback function allows the HDMI source device to be controlled remotely from the receiver/display location. The IR receiver detects commands from the remote control and sends them back through the network cable to the transmitter, where the IR emitter reproduces the signal for the source device.

The system supports IR devices operating in the 20–60kHz frequency range.

Network Integration

Unlike a conventional point-to-point HDMI cable extender, the PSG3427 can be used with an existing suitable network infrastructure. The manufacturer specifies support for cascade connection through a switch or router, providing additional flexibility for larger AV installations.

The system is designed to operate without affecting other network traffic when correctly installed within a suitable network environment.
